This work was featured in ‘Materiality in Dialogue’, a group exhibition curated by Varuni Kangasunderam at Divisions Gallery at Pentridge this year.

This work combines found culinary items, poured resin and silicone, and a cast of the artist’s breast. 

This work was influenced by the erotic objects of Meret Oppenheim. To me, it presents as dessert - ‘Floating Islands’ comes to mind - and depending on your point of view, can be interpreted as sinister or celebratory. Such is the contrarian nature of the domestic space.
